What is Hangover Remedies?

Hangover remedies that claim to curative any hangover regrettably often invite individuals to drink more alcohol than they should. Over the years, untold numbers of cures for a hangover have been contrived but the best one of all is to resist a drink. All cures need to curative a number of issues caused by the drink - chiefly, dehydration, which is caused by a vitamin A, B & C depletion, sickness and the toxic by-products contained in the drink itself.

Hangover Remedies

Due to the action of impurities within the drink itself, some alcoholic beverages give worse hangovers than others. How rapidly you become intoxicated is also often down the level of these toxins and just how bad the hangover will be. It’s always best, if possible to stick with the clear drinks like Gin or Vodka as these have been filtered and contain less impurities than the likes of Whiskey and Cognac. The easiest thing is to not have to look for for hangover curatives in the first place by moderating our drinking habits. This is often the case when we drink a great deal quickly or maybe we drink on an empty stomach, but at the end of the day, no one forces us to do this. To stop this from taking place all that needs to be done is to drink slowly and this is one of the best hangover curatives because you probably won’t need one!

Unfortunately, we seem to be destined to search for remedies for a hangover and this is always a good conversation at any bar in the world. Still finding the curative for a hangover is like the search for the Holy Grail, no-one really knows if it exists but we all keep looking! It doesn’t matter how at a measured pace you drink, if you don’t stop, alcohol will step by step dehydrate the body and this dehydration can lead to the hangover headache the next day, hence, it’s important to re-hydrate your body before you go to sleep.

One favorite is taking a couple of headache tablets and drinking a pint of cold mineral water before bed and then some orange juice in the morning as it replaces lost vitamin C. Despite this information hangover cures are less efficient as you get older and as a bonus, the hangovers also get worse. apparently, bananas are a good treatment for a hangover and a new hangover tip on the block because they have a number of minerals and nutrients lost during drinking, including potassium and fructose.

Bananas also have 2 other ingredients that help with hangovers as there is an antacid to help with the sickness and magnesium to help with the bad headache. There are still those seasoned souls that believe that drinking additional alcohol the following day in the form of a ‘Bloody Mary’ is a treatment for a hangover but the panel is still out on this one. Ultimately, your best defense is recognizing when to stop and, when to resist that ‘one for the road’ suggestion!
